yeah goa trance originated in india allright. its pretty underground and i've not seen lot of people who like goa or psy. Basically people whom i know who listen to goa are drug addicts. progressive trance is more popular here than goa. but still i bet not even 1% of indian population listens to trance and i'm the only one in my city who does, thats sad

I've never really get this type of music and I don't get it now. This is way too psychedelic and "messy" to my taste. Sounds like all melodies are somewhat drawn to "look like" mushroom or something. Some time I tried to listen to Infected Mushrooms and they had one ok track, but can't remember the name

well you should check that "sugar rush" track, it's not really goa, but goa influenced melodic trance. it's one of my all time favourite trance songs. easy introduction to goa infected mushroom is a kick ass group too, but it's not goa, but this israeli style psytrance (well with their latest 2 albums they have gone mainstream). you should everyone check their converting vegeterians album if you haven't, it's a combination of psy, psybient and popmusic. everyone i've played it for, regardless of what music they listen to (trance, house, rock, pop, rnb), has loved it. i don't really like full on "messy" psy either, where there's just too much stuff going on. but i love goa, where you usually got this arabic scale and really dark and sinister mood. lots of really nice sync sweep acid reso sounds there. something i really had to grow into aswell, didn't appreciate it 6 years ago at all..
